Mask

Last night I went to the Pasadena Playhouse and saw a great musical called "MASK".  The cast was amazing and it was such a touching story.  It had a little something for everyone and the four people from work who saw it, loved it.

The guy who built the sets is a friend of mine who I did theater with in New York City and one of the actors in the show is represented by the same agency that I am.

We are all hoping the show finds its way to Broadway because it would probably do really well.

Blast From the Past

Last night I hung out with a friend of mine from junior high school who is now living in Los Angeles!  I had not seen or talked to him since I moved from Chicago years ago and it was really fun to reminisce.

We went to a place in Hollywood called the Bourgeois Pig.  It is a coffee/tea place that is very eclectic and reminded of coffee shops in SoHo, New York.  There was one room that was decorated like a forest.  All around the couches and chairs there were trees and tea lights and stars made of white twinkling lights.

It was a lot of fun to reunite with an old friend and also to hit another Hollywood hotspot!

Wig Party

Last night I went to a party at a place called Red Rock. It was a "wigging out" birthday party, and the rule was, everyone had to wear a wig. My friend Tammie, who invited me to the party didn't even recognize me at first! I went up to her and she introduced herself to me! I was like "are you serious?" and she goes "Oh my goodness! I didn't even recognize you!"

It was really fun dressing up on an evening other than Halloween! The first picture is Tammie, Jared, Me and Daniel and the second one is of me and my awesome wig!
Today it was 94 degrees here and I really wanted to go with some friends to the beach but instead I worked on redoing my website. I am hoping it will be up and running no later than the first week of May.

Best Buy!

I had a call back for a Best Buy Commercial last week:) At a call back, generally the ad agency, the director and the commercial producers are all there. It is interesting at a callback when they have narrowed it down to your type and there are women with shoulder length brown hair around 5'2" of every age from about 18 to about 50!

Any one of us are able to play the Best Buy employee who is "quirky but knowledgable looking" and has no dialogue. I believe the commercial shot Thursday and Friday, so unfortunately I didn't book it, but I am getting so close, I can feel it:)

Courtney's Birthday

So Skybus airlines went out of business yesterday which is not cool because between my family and I, we have about six round trip flights booked on that airline between now and August!

One ironic thing that was interesting about when they went out of business is that my mom called to tell me the news as I was on my way to Pasadena for my friend Courtney's birthday. This is ironic because on the last Skybus flight that I took, Courntey and I met in the terminal, chatted a bit, sat next to each other on the flight and then exchanged numbers. We have been hanging out ever since.

For her birthday, a bunch of her friends made dinner at her apartment and then we blind folded her and walked her around Pasadena. We got cheesecake at The Cheesecake Factory and then sat by a fountain at City Hall and at it!

The next activity on her Birthday night was an awesome game of "Rock Band" at her friend Albert's house and then we played a really fun board game called "Therapy". It was interesting because Courtney and all of her friends are psychology grad students and it was cool to play a therapy game with them.

The game is trivia based but it also has some 'how well do you know your patient (aka the other player)' questions. It was a really fun evening!
The picture at the top is of Rober, Me, Courtney, some random guy in the back and Albert walking around Pasadena.
