Heath Ledger Continued
I heard the news about Heath Ledger at work on the 22nd. One of my co-workers got a call from a friend and then we looked it up. Several people that I work with have met Heath and they all have nothing but wonderful things to say about him. Supposedly, he was really nice and very private. It is terrible that he is no longer with us because it is a great loss to the acting community as well as to his friends and family. Nobody who I know that has met and worked with him knew him to have any problem with drugs or depression and from the reports so far, it looks like he was just on too many medicines.

Heath Ledger
As per the comment someone left for me, here is a reaction article from CNN. CLICK HERE
"There Will Be Blood"
Last night after work I went with a friend of mine to see "There Will Be Blood". We both were able to see it for free because the movie has gotten several SAG award nominations and so to encourage SAG members to see the movies before we vote, we usually receive a DVD copy of the movie or a free screening pass.
The movie was pretty good and the acting was phenomenal. Daniel Day Lewis is amazing, as always, and Paul Dano is excellent too. There are a few bloody moments, so if you are squeamish, you may have to close your eyes for a minute.
R.I.P. Heath Ledger :(

Slow Day
Today was a really slow day at work. There were still people working and people calling the office, but compared to most days, it was very slow. I got home a little bit early and got some cleaning done. I am going to bed early tonight to catch up on the sleep I've been missing with all of this working and going out!
...
Today a bunch of my friend's who are from Wisconsin got together at Big Wang's in Hollywood to watch the Packers/Giants game. The people from Wisconsin showed up around 10AM to reserve tables and I was told to arrive between 1 and 2, as the game started at 3:30. Unfortunately, when I got to the bar around 1:15, the place was filled to capacity for the Patriot's game! I waited in line for 2 hours and they finally let us in just before the Packers game started.
All 23 people at our tables had fun until the last few minutes of overtime. After the game several of us decided to go out to a non-celebration dinner. One of my friends from work met up with us, as did one of her friends. We went to El Campanero on Sunset to eat.
Even though it is Martin Luther King Day tomorrow, I have to work.

Awesome Weekend

So far it has been a great weekend. Last night I went with my friend, Max, who works at The Tea Garden, to The Kibitz room to listen to music and then to this really cool place called Cosmic Pizza for dinner. Cosmic Pizza has a really interesting vibe because there are a lot of neon lights inside and every inch of wall space is covered with cases filled with old comic books and figurines. There is a big flat screen projector on the wall that plays videos of space and we sat at a table next to a robot named RAD who holds a crystal ball filled with electricity.
Today I hung out with my friend Josh and we watched DVD episodes of the TV show, The Comeback. I got some laundry done and for dinner we went to a restaurant called "Atmosphere Cafe". It is a salad/sandwich shop/bakery that has a huge outdoor seating patio. While we were there, I ran into my friend Jason who played my love interest in a play that I did about a year ago! We talked for awhile and it was really good to catch up.
The picture above is from the Tea Garden book signing. That's my friend Max!
