Carnival!

Last night I spent the evening with some girls from work and my cousin on the Sunset Strip. We went to Rainbow Room for dinner and then we went to The Key Club for Carnival. Carnival is also known as "The Choreographer's Ball" and it was AMAZING! The top choreographers and dancers come from all over the world to perform and last night was the 9th Anniversary show.

We had a VIP table in the balcony so we could look down at the dancers or watch on the monitor screen. There were a variety of styles featured from hip-hop to jazz to modern to acrobatics. There was even a group of young dancers who were featured on the TV show America's Got Talent and they do a mix of hip-hop and martial arts.

There were a also lot of celebrities there like Brittany Snow, Amanda Bynes and Kenny Ortega to name a few. A photographer took a picture of my cousin and me, which should be posted online later so I will link to it or post it tomorrow.

Audition

I had an awesome audition today for a Toyota commercial. I really hope I book it because it shoots for several days and it is a lot of usage. Some commercials, like the one that I am in right now for T-Mobile run mostly on Television and on the Internet. In addition to that, this spot is supposed to run internationally and possibly in movie theaters before movies! Keep your fingers crossed for me. Callbacks are tomorrow.

England

I had a really busy weekend this weekend. One of the highlights was a fancy dinner party that my friend threw. There were seven of us in attendance and she went all out. The food was amazing! She made a salmon dip for vegetables, sushi, bacon wrapped scallops and skewers of tomatoes and cheese for appetizers. Dinner was prime rib with vegetables, pop-overs and potatoes. She also made 6 different kids of cookies and a death by chocolate cake for dessert. It was really fancy and very nice and I felt all grown up!

The weather was awful this weekend. In the mornings it was sunny and nice so I went everywhere I had to go without an umbrella and by the middle of my excursions there were torrential downpours. Saturday night parts of the Valley even flooded so badly that cars were stuck and roads were closed.

My cousin, Marcus, from England came into town last night so we had dinner and watched the movie "Away From Her." It was one of the SAG nominated awards so all SAG members got a free screening copy of it. I really enjoyed it and the acting was wonderful.

Now it is back to work during the day and in the evenings I will be entertaining and hanging out with my cousin!
