Alumni Event

I hosted the Alumni Event last night and it went really well. We had 10 people show up, which is an AMAZING turnout for Los Angeles. It is very difficult to get people together out here.

AIA Studios was kind enough to let us have a rehearsal room for the meeting for free and everyone really enjoyed reminiscing about the "old days". We also all shared what we have learned about the business and different casting directors and agents from being in Los Angeles and it was a very productive event!

I hope that it expands and more people come to the next one. It was a lot of fun seeing some familiar faces as well as meeting a bunch of people from other years.

There was even on alum who doesn't live in LA but was in town so we all got to see him. I will keep posting when we have events!:)

What Hiatus Means to Me.

Being on hiatus, break from shooting "The Riches" has been really nice for me. I have been able to get a lot of writing done and I am signed up to attend a four week acting intensive starting next week.

I also had the time to get an Alumni meeting together with people in Los Angeles who went to the same conservatory that I did in New York City. Organizing the event has been a great project for me and I have talked to several people that were ahead or behind me in school who are interested in attending! The meeting will be held tonight.

There is an impending writers' strike so some shows will be getting ready to shoot through the rest of hiatus. The writers' strike will make it so that the summer is really busy and then if it happens, the fall will be totally devoid of shooting Union projects. Keep your fingers crossed that I get a bunch of work starting in a week or so and then they don't strike!
