Roommates

My Value Village audition went really well.I got paired with a "mom" and a "dad" who were both nice people and really good actors. I was playing their teenage daughter and my favorite part of the audition was when the guy running the camera asked me if I was 16 or 17.:)

The last two evenings have been really enjoyable. My roommates and I have been hanging out a lot. Two nights ago we spent a few hours wrapping the vines in our apartment. We have potted plants hanging from all four corners of the living room and over the 5 years that the guys have lived there, some of the vines have grown to be 40 feet long! We have bamboo on the ceiling for the vines to grow around, so we spent the evening re-directing the plants. It is amazing how relaxing "gardening" is!

One of my roommates, Cazzey, didn't have to work yesterday so after my other roommate, Daniel, and I put in long days at our respective jobs, Cazzey had dinner waiting when we got home! He made brown rice pasta with shrimp and homemade roasted garlic sauce, and squash. While we ate, we watched his favorite movie, The Natural. Both the dinner and the movie were REALLY good.

Weekend

Yesterday I attended a commercial workshop from 10AM-5PM. It was very informative and a lot of fun. We did four mock auditions and got feedback after each one. It reminded me of the conservatory that I attended and made me miss the days of acting classes from dawn until dusk. The other people in the class were all really nice and I made a few friends.

After class I went to dinner with a filmmaker friend of mine and then we both went to a party that Sean Finn, my friend from Randolph High School who lives out here now, threw. Sean is working in the music business so a bunch of his musician friends were playing music in the sitting room and everyone else was hanging out by his backyard pool!

Today I went to a screening on the Fox Lot of "Horton Hears a Who". It was such a cute movie. It was even cuter because it was a screening for people who work for several animation companies and their familes, so it was adorable to hear the little kids react to the movie.

I'm looking forward to more auditions and (hopefully) a booking this week. I will keep posting as they come up!
