After work my roommate and I went to the grocery store to get ham, lettuce and cheese. It was about 11:45 PM and half of the grocery store was closed down.
We got the lettuce successfully and then we went to get the cheese but there was a huge hole in the floor and men were digging doing repairs. My roommate snuck around the yellow tape and maneuvered around the hole to get some mozzarella.
Then we went to get the ham and the whole meat area was closed down! The ham was moved and canned ham is not the same so we left without ham.
I have never seen anything like it. There were men digging in the floor, guys going up and down isles with wheel barrels filled with dirt and 1/2 the store was blocked off with caution tape!
It's true what they said that you can't get food past 9:00 PM in Los Angeles. -crazy-

Relaxing
Today was the first day that I had the day off and took the day to catch up rather than to set up and have a bunch of meetings.
I went to the bank and to the gym and my roommates and I cleaned up around the apartment. Then we went to Best Buy to get a print cartridge and we went to Target to get a step-stool and toilet paper. I wore my big sunglasses and looked around suspiciously for papparazi as I went about my normal activities.;)
In the middle of the day I got a call from a friend from college who wanted to be coached for an audition that he has tomorrow. I went to help him out and I think he will do well. The audition is for "National Treasure II" with Nicholas Cage.

Table Read Continued...
The table read was so much fun! The cast was there along with three supporting characters. A male reader and I played the rest of the characters. It was quite an experience reading with Minnie Driver and Eddie Izzard.
One of the producers read all of the stage directions and the funniest moment was when he read that Minnie's character was half naked so she pulled her shirt down over her shoulder.
I got a huge laugh because one of my lines was "We all love you" but it said in the script 'Spoken in Cant' I obviously don't know Cant and it was written in English so I just said "we all love you." One of the writers was like "you were supposed to say that in Cant".
Also, in Act I of episode six a gun is found in a desk. Minnie said immediately, "if a gun is shown in Act I it is going to go off by Act III." Everyone laughed and she shrugged and said "I'm just saying".
Did the gun go off by Act III? You'll have to watch "The Riches" on FX starting in March to find out. (shameless plug, I know, but I had so much fun at "work" today that I just had to throw that in there:) )

Table Read
I was asked by production to be the female reader at the table read for the episode of "The Riches" we are about to start shooting.
At a table read, the cast sits around a table with the producers, director, writers, and some of the network executives so that everyone can hear the script out loud and any changes can be made before shooting begins. As a reader, I read all of the lines of minor characters who are in the episode but do not attend the table read.
Stay tuned tomorrow for how it went!

Update
My agent meeting went really well. It was set up like a commercial audition and there were 4 agents/assistants in the room and they video taped it. I was given commercial copy (script) to read. When I was done the agent, Venus, asked me some questions about my resume and career goals and said that she would be calling people she was interested in over the next three weeks.
My afternoon meeting about the script that I'm co-writing went well too. We got a lot of plot points and characters sorted out. We also decided who is writing which of the first scenes, so that is what I will be working on in between 14 hour days on set this week.
