No Shame LA
I attended No Shame LA this evening and it was a lot of fun! My friend Clint and I wrote a 5 minute sketch and that is what we performed. It went over well and we got a few laughs. I played a tree at one point in the sketch. It was wonderful. I met some really nice people and I enjoyed the other skits that people did. What can I say, after being a theater actress since I was 4 years old, that's where my heart is :)

Week Off
Eddie will not be able to work on Friday or Monday so the crew has those days off too. Shannon won't be needed Tuesday through Friday of next week, so I get all of that time off as well! It works out because my sister is coming to visit me so I will be able to spend time with her. Also, maybe I will get an audition or two with my new agent:)
Tomorrow I am attending what's called "No Shame LA". From what I understand, writers bring in 5 minute scripts and actors come an hour before the audience to be cast, memorized, rehearsed and directed in the scenes and then an audience comes to watch an hour later! It sounds like a lot of fun. I'll post tomorrow about how it went.

THE RICHES
"The Riches", the show I have been standing in on starts Monday night on FX at 10 PM. I stand-in for the character Didi. While you watch the show, remember that everything Didi does, I was there doing until the cameras started rolling. Soon I will be in front of the camera.
My friend Tommy Phillips called me from New York today to tell me that he saw signs advertising "The Riches" starring Minnie Driver and Eddie Izzard.
"I took a pen and wrote 'and Jaclyn Friedlander' on of the signs" he informed me. "I thought it might help your career!" I was like "aw you're so sweet" and then he said "I'm kidding, I didn't actually do that but I thought about it!"
Well clearly it's the thought that counts... :-P

Weekend
After working long hours with the same crew of people you would imagine people would want to rest and see their families but instead everyone brings their families out to clubs and party with their friends from work!
I went to "The Well" on Sunset for a double birthday party for work and I ran into a guy I went to high school with. Andy Michaels is in LA visiting friends and we happened to be in the same place. It is such a small world. That is the 3rd person who I hadn't seen in years from New Jersey that I ran into in LA.
Speaking of LA/NJ ties, Kayla Mae Maloney also had a birthday party tonight at "Aqua Lounge" which I went to after "The Well".
'It is awesome "making appearances" at different parties and functions but you are not truly popular until they put your head on a Pez dispenser!'
