Walking to Work

Being the "new guy" at my current job, I have to park pretty far from work and walk the rest of the way since there are a limited number of parking spots. This morning as I was "walking to work" a woman was jogging by. She looked familiar and then it hit me who she was. She is one of the writers on "The Riches!" I called her name and she stopped to chat for a little bit. She said that she has been picketing and working on her own fiction writing, since there are no television jobs right now. We chatted about how we hope for everyone's sake that the strike ends soon. Then I worked all day and now I can't wait for Friday!

Web Design

I really like my new job! It is one of the friendliest offices I have ever worked in and I am enjoying my job so far:) I am SOOO tired though! My brain is busy absorbing information all day long so when I come home I can barely eat dinner before I'm ready for bed! I'm sure in a week or so I will be used to the hours. Plus next week I have a meeting with a web designer on Tuesday and a Book Launch party for my friend, Dr. Tea on Thursday after working hours, so by then I will have my second wind. It has been an exciting year so far and we're only 9 days in!

Awesome!

My new job is fantastic so far. Everyone I work with is really nice and I learned how to do a lot of things yesterday. I'm ready for day 2!

New job!

This weekend has been really rainy. Some streets are flooded and driving is pretty slow going, especially at night. I hope this week the weather clears up! I went with a few friends of mine to Universal City Walk to hang out yesterday, and it POURED! It was fun though. Good company makes anything fun.

My first day of work is today, wish me luck!

True LA Fashion

Good news! It looks like I may have found a web designer to help me redo my website!:) Here's how it happened: My friend Jared invited me to come to Hollywood Billiards to watch football, and since I haven't seen any of my Los Angeles friends in awhile, I went. When I got there, he introduced me to three of his other friends who were with him, and one of them was this guy Erik, who just happens to work as a web designer! I'm really excited because I thought it would take me much longer to find someone to even discuss the new design with and here it is 2 days after I'm back in LA and I meet a friend of a friend who does just that!

After several football games, we hung out at Jared's and watched part of Austin Powers. Then I came back to my apartment. I changed into pajamas and then someone knocked on my apartment door. It was the woman upstairs, who was currently having a party and she wanted my roommates and I to come up. In true LA fashion, we got back dressed and went upstairs. Sometimes it is really fun that things in Los Angeles are very relaxed and casual!
